The Nurtured Clothing brand was inspired by "Chasing Trane" a documentary about the life of John Coltrane, and his greatest album "A Love Supreme."

According to the documentary, "A Love Supreme" was created during self imposed isolation. During this period of isolation, Coltrane was able compose all the music for the entire album. It was stated that he was nurturing his genius. The album was recorded in one session. It is still considered one of the greatest Jazz albums ever.

Coltrane had a spiritual awakening in 1957. In 1964 "A Love Supreme" was recorded and in the album liner he stated, "I humbly asked to be given the means and privilege to make others happy through music." Coltrane said "A Love Supreme" was a thank you to GOD.
